Number of distributable materials

• Natural products

  • Natural raw materialsMaximum 20 units per application; annual maximum of 60 units
  • ExtractionMaximum 500 units per application; annual maximum of 1,000 units
• Genetic resources

  • TissuesMaximum 20 units per application; annual maximum of 60 units
  • gDNAMaximum 20 units per application; annual maximum of 60 units
• Cultures

  • Bacteria, fungi, archaeaMaximum 200 strains per application; annual maximum of 500 units
  • microalgaeMaximum 10 strains per application; annual maximum of 20 units

Notes(If the following notes are not met or fulfilled, distribution may be restricted.)

• • Distributor applicants should have research facilities to treat the distributed resources.
• • The distributed resources are nontransferable and cannot be redistributed.
• • If distributees (i.e., the researchers who receive the resources) publish research papers or apply for a patent using the distributed resources, they must cite the source.
• • Distributees should complete the distribution results survey.
