We conserve the deposited materials in the long term and connect depositors and researchers to share the materials for study. The deposited materials are distributed to the general public.

Materials that can be deposited
Materials suitable for general deposit are cultures, genetic resources (DNA, tissues), and natural products (natural raw materials, natural products).
Deposit procedure

Prior arrangement
and receipt of an applicationAfter prior arrangement with the person in charge of each material, submit the deposit application and the materials (online/offline).

Review
A preliminary review is made to check whether the materials can be deposited. If the application is rejected, supplement the documents and apply again.

Investigation of the materials
Investigation of the materials that passed the preliminary review is done.

Numbering
A BOBIC registration number is given to materials that pass the investigation.

Preservation
The materials are preserved at the storage facilities of the BOBIC.

Issuance of a deposit certificate
A deposit certificate with a BOBIC registration number is emailed to the depositor.

- We do not pay depositors, and deposited materials are distributed for free to the general public.
To identify the depositor, the name and organization on the application form should be identical to the membership information on our website.

가치에 따른 예우
- 기준표본 또는 특별히 가치 있는 표본 기증 (대상자는 내부 검토 회의를 거쳐 결정)
※ 분류군별 기증표본의 중요성 및 상태, 수량에 따라 기증자 예우 외에 표본 제작비 일부를 지급할 수 있다
